Sogar im Güterverkehr sind bei der VR zwei verschiedene Kupplungssysteme im Einsatz, einerseits die sowjetischen SA3-Kupplungen als auch UIC-Schraubkupplungen. Die Rangierlok hat beidseits SA3-Kupplungen, der Wagen dient als Adapter auf die Schraubkupplung.
